BRAES HEIGHTS and AYRSHIRE
are popular neighborhoods just south of West U and north of Brays Bayou composed
of single-story ranch style houses built in the 50s. The last few years
has brought many two-story brick or stucco traditional new
homes to these areas.
KNOLLWOOD VILLAGE, LINKWOOD, PEMBERTON CIRCLE, WOODSHIRE, and WOODSIDE are
south of Braes Heights and Brays Bayou. A miles-long hike and bike trail is accessible
along the bayou. Many Med Center professionals live in these neighborhoods which consist
primarily of one-story ranch-style properties as in Braes Heights.
